CMA Services Market Investigation

9th April 2019 | Cremation News

The CMA has published the Issues Statement in connection with its funeral directors and crematoria services market investigation.

They have also published a summary of the Issues Statement and an administrative timetable for the investigation.

An in-depth investigation of the funerals industry is being undertaken by a group drawn from the CMA’s panel of independent members. The Issues Statement sets out the areas that the group intends to focus on during the investigation, how it proposes to go about its work and some of the measures that might be put in place if the group finds that there are competition problems that need to be addressed.

The CMA are inviting submissions with supporting evidence by Thursday 9 May 2019.

All the information is available on their updated case page.
