CYA 2022 Categories Announced

14th June 2022 | Events

FBCA will once again be sponsoring CYA 2022, and I would like to encourage all of our members to enter the FREE on-line competition. The closing date is 31 July 2022 and it is open to any Burial Authority (Cemetery or Churchyard) within the UK.

The categories of Cemeteries are –

  1. Large Burial Grounds above 10,000 graves
  2. Small/Medium Burial Grounds up to 10,000 graves
  3. Parish, Town and Community Councils
  4. Natural Burial Ground Provider

There will once again be £1000.00 prize money awarded to the (Gold) Award winning entry in each category. Winners will also receive Gold and Silver Award Certificates along with a CYA Press Release that can be used to promote your work and achievements.

The Competition application form is simple to complete and allows the applications to be marked objectively with pre-defined points allocated in each section. This will allow feedback to be given to each entrant showing not only their overall competition marks but also how they can improve and develop their Cemeteries.

A Competition Summary Booklet will also be sent to all entrants, explaining compliance with legislation and best practice, with information and support from leading Burial Authority Organisations.

To enter the competition simply log onto the CYA website.
